What are blackheads?
Blackheads are a very common skin care problem for many of us and are not caused by poor hygiene or a bad diet. Excess oils sitting on the skin, oily makeup and moisturisers are all simple reasons as to why blackheads occur. These dark or yellow dots beneath the skin can appear at any time and for those that suffer from them regularly, it can be quite distressing and upsetting to have to try to deal with them and prevent blackheads too.
Blackhead Removal Tool
The Tweezerman Blackhead Extractor Tool is the latest advancement in blackhead extractions. The dermatologist-tested blackhead tool has been developed and designed with a unique shape to expertly remove blackheads from pores all over the body. Removing blackheads with hands and the pressure of our fingertips can damage the skin, which causes scarring, redness and infection. The Blackhead Extractor is designed to provide the correct amount of pressure to be effective without harming the skin. Made specifically from stainless steel to ensure the blackhead tool can be easily cleaned and sterilised, to safely and cleanly squeeze visible, unsightly blackheads from pores. Its curved hooks gently pinch the skin below where the blackhead sits in the pore, which allows it to easily be squeezed out and removed. Think of it as a tweezer for blackheads but instead of “plucking” out blackheads, the blackhead removal tool lightly squeezes, rolls and pulls blackheads from pores.
How to use the Blackhead Extractor tool
Firstly, it’s always important to start with freshly washed skin with your favourite cleanser and hot water. Hot water opens pores, which will make blackhead removal less painful. If you’ve had a shower the steam will also help to open up the pores ready for blackhead removal too.
How to use a blackhead removal tool
Press the curved tips pointing upward onto the skin surrounding the blackhead. Don’t press the curved tips toward the skin as you’re effectively going to pinch and then roll the blackhead tool for removal.
Squeeze the Blackhead Extractor tool to pinch the blackhead between the two curved tips.
Roll the curved tip up and away from the skin to pull the blackhead out.
Lift to remove the blackhead; clean the tool and repeat as needed.
The Blackhead Extractor has a similar design and quality to our Tweezerman Tweezer so that it’s familiar and easy to use. Blackhead Extraction takes around 5-minutes and can be added to your skin care routine as and when needed at home.
To care for the Blackhead Removal Tool; simply rinse with warm water and then disinfect with alcohol to remove any bacteria.
